If it were just a mere matter of chronology, Valarie is 'technically' Charisse's newest friend, but if you wanted get 'real' for a moment, these ladies' souls and "angels" go way back, and have known each other for forever. (period, end of discussion.)

Just as in nature when the ugliest weed can surprise the world and grow the prettiest flower, Valarie's sunshine emerged in Charisse's life out of the most unpleasant, darkest and desolate sources -- they met at work. (lol -- specifically, the "work" that the bride recently resigned from.)  It was a slow-ish start for these two (approximately 1.5 weeks of formality) but after literally a single sentence about Val's beautiful baby boy, Zachary, they bonded rather quickly (at lightning speed, almost)... over... well, they bonded over *everything*.
 

There's just a good jive and mojo between Valarie and Charisse, maybe it's their frame-of-mind, values, sense-of-humor... or just that Valarie's clairvoyant.  And, as much as work almost literally drained the life out of Charisse, Valarie went on in, rolled up her sleeves and CPR'd that life right back in...  (we're talking ... on a daily basis.)  Valarie's whit, thoughtfulness, spirit, care, and all-around-awesomeness makes for a very, very (did I mention, "very") cool friend.  Extra dealbreakers include the fact that Valarie has perfect pitch, and the form on her pliés are impeccable (just ask Richard Simmons)... and as if they didn't need even more reason to be friends, they're both huge dorks (or nerds, or geeks... all terms are proudly accepted).

Together, they make for the coolest dorks you'll ever meet. (cross my heart) BUT  this can be said, for sure: These dorks can sing and dance you to oblivion..
