CATHERINE KNIGHT
B R I D E S M A I D
Of all the bridesmaids, (at almost 2 awesome decdes) Catherine has known Charisse the longest. The pair attended the Catholic all-girls' school Immacuate Heart, together.
One epically long day, under a hazy sunset, they began talking, and they just kept on talking... and talking and talking. About important world issues, like: the angsty 80's classic "the Heathers" ...a horribly over-played "Bob at accounttemps" commercial on KFWB news 98 radio ...a crazy frizzy-haired relgion teacher who had a class of preteen girls convinced that you could get pregnant if you swam in a pool with a boy... the school paper -- PawPrints, that Catherine regularly wrote "for" ( ...and Charisse repeatedly wrote "to") ...the fact that that Mr. Snuffleupagus was "imaginary" but no one seems to remember that he was ...and the conversation probably even involved some very mature, existential discussion about the meaning of something Emily Dickinson wrote.
The next day, Catherine invited Charisse to join her group at "The BLT" lunchtable, instead of eating at the grassy knoll (this was a huge step in the lunch-spot totempole)... and so it was that Charisse got to hang with the the coolest of the coolest, cool girls of all time... and... it happened again the next day, and the next ... and life was good.
Today, life remains to be good, because just as prepubescent Charisse of the 90's couldn't imagine a better place to eat lunch at, 2012 adult and engaged Charisse just can't imagine a better friend to stand with her as she takes this next new step in life. As is the underlying theme of this wedding's bridal party, beautiful Catherine makes beautiful things as an artist of many mediums. She is exceptionally talented and an especially gifted Irish dancer.... fact: she has been since the beginning of time...
