ALEX McAULEY
B E S T • M A N
Vinh met Alex while the two were freeclimbing mount everest one fateful September afternoon. They struck up a delightful conversation during their ascent, when they discovered they were both equipped with matching quickdraws. Their friendship just blossomed from that first adventure. Together they dreamt of starting their own rock and roll band called the "Wyld Stallyns" and their musical stylings were way ahead of the times. Later that day, by means of a public telephone booth / time machine, an awesome man from the future named Rufus came to whisk the two boys away and gather up historical figures. As luck would have it, Alex and Vinh are actually rather important to the future of all mankind. A scary Terminator type robot also came from the future but luckily, former Senator Arnold Schwarzenegger protected them. Unscathed from that would-be disaster, Vinh and Alex's friendship persisted and was even fortified.
For years now, Vinh and Alex have been traveling through time doing some interesting research for our world, and generally being excellent to each other! Some of their biggest fans include Beethoven, Socrates and everyone's favorite vampire hunter, Mr. 16th President of the United States, Honest Abe, who would never pass up an opportunity to split a pint with his best buds, Alex and Vinh (honestly.) Some of Vinh and Alex's pastimes include rooftop country concerts performed by, well... themselves, Serengeti gunrunning with their buddy, Anand the wealthy Oil Baron, and communing with their brethren (and sisteren) to watch trained killing machines, also known as Trojans wreak havoc on wildcats, buffaloes, huskies, cougars, leprechauns, bears, ducks, trees, beavers, and devils. (Some battles fare better than others, of course, but "ah, so is life" ) In non Trojan-wartime, they just like to chill on this wonderful contraption also known as the internets.
Alex is, too, a wealthy Oil Baron. He currently lives with his beautiful family in Singapore. His wife, Ashley is a Chinese Princess by means of the Georgia peach trees and has recently given this kingdom of theirs a new heir, Princess Braley. Vinh and Charisse are truly blessed to have Alex, Ashley (and, of course, Braley, too) in their lives. In many ways, despite the distance of half the globe, the McAuleys shine as a proverbial lighthouse of love and patience and understanding that Vinh and Charisse seek to model their own marriage after.
